Victorian women and gender diversity champions sought for 2021 resources awards

Victoria’s minerals industry is calling on exceptional women and gender diversity champions across the industry to nominate for the 2021 Victorian Women in Resources Awards.

Now in their fifth year, the awards are hosted by MCA Victoria in partnership with Women in Mining Victoria.

The awards are an important recognition of excellence and celebrate Victorians who are contributing to the success of the resources sector and championing diversity.

The 2021 awards feature six categories:

• Exceptional Woman in Resources
• Exceptional Young Woman in Resources
• Gender Diversity Champion
• Outstanding Victorian Trade, Operator or Technician
• Technological Innovation Award
• Excellence in Diversity Programs and Performance Award.

Victoria’s resources industry extends from minerals operations in regional Victoria, the mining equipment to technology and service companies in regional and metropolitan areas to the corporate offices of major global mining companies in Melbourne.

Winners in each category are elevated to finalists in the Women in Resources National Awards. Applicants have until Friday 30 April to enter, with finalists in each of the six categories announced in mid-May. Application information and forms are available here.
